Our gumbo does

not contain rice


A true Southern favorite!  Our gumbo has several layers of flavor along with a unique combination of spices.  It is made with whole shrimp, whitefish, andouille sausage, okra, and other vegetables, in a velvety blond roux. Experience this unique explosion of flavors for yourself.  NO PRESERVATIVES ARE ADDED TO OUR GUMBO.  The only preservatives listed on the label are from the andouille sausage and flour.

​​Available in two sizes:  15 oz. (serves 1-2)  or 30 oz. (serves 3-4). These containers come to you frozen.  We make the gumbo by hand; it is then flash frozen to retain that fresh taste when it is properly prepared. 

Thaw overnight in the refrigerator (or microwave the container for 3-4 minutes to loosen gumbo from the container).  Put the gumbo in a saucepan, remove the shrimp, then heat the gumbo on medium heat until heated through (low boil).  Add the shrimp back in and cook for one minute more.  Serve in a bowl with rice.​​  

We do not recommend cooking the gumbo in a microwave.  The roux needs medium heat to come together; also, microwaving will toughen the shrimp.
